Welcome to a Sunday Morning Edition of Food Porn, brought to you by The Burrow - Ania started some of her sourdough bread yesterday, before we went to the Sevier County Fair - this morning, she got up and shaped the loaves, then came back to bed to relax while the loaves were raising - her sourdough bread is made with a starter that she has been nurturing for many, many years, and it creates a bread with a truly tangy flavor, with a lot of complexity, and she bakes it in a hot oven with steam, creating a beautiful, golden brown crust, that has that amazing crunch that sourdough should have, then the interior is soft, chewy, and oh-so-good! With that she made us some soft-boiled eggs - cooked for exactly 5 minutes, yielding an egg that has an almost completely solid white, and a warm, liquid yolk, perfect for bread dipping - some coffee and chai rounded out the meal - and now for a nap!
